Global and regional financial leaders to assemble in Doha for asset management conference
QFC Authority and Bloomberg will host the second annual conference on asset management on April 8 and 9, 2013 in Qatar.
This prestigious financial event will gather over 300 leading global and regional asset managers. Delegates, including local, regional and international fund managers, key investors, executives of global banks, economists, chief executive officers, and prominent Qatari decision makers will discuss major themes such as global issues affecting asset management, opportunities in various asset classes and market conditions in the Middle East.
The two-day Conference will feature a special address by HE Yousef Hussain Kamal, the Minister of Economy & Finance, as well as an update on the QFC Authority from Abdulrahman Ahmad Al Shaibi, managing director and board member.
During the event, the QFC Authority will launch its first MENA Asset Management Barometer. According to the QFC, the Barometer will be a comprehensive survey and research report that is a major thought leadership contribution to understanding the current asset management industry in the MENA region. It will be based on in-depth interviews with 45 prominent asset managers and government investment entities operating in MENA, including key Sovereign Wealth Funds. The aim of the report is to enhance the transparency of the MENA asset management marketplace and provide participants with an additional benchmark for decision-making.
